Knowing The Opposite
It’s All Part Of The Process
Hey everyone, Ben here. I’m with you today to talk about this popular internet meme that surfaced in the last few months, which is “It’s strange how ‘this is not American’ only seems to be said in America.”
There’s a good reason for that. America is built upon a foundation of a declaration for equality. The way the universe works is that when we declare something that we want, that doesn’t exist yet, we first have to know its opposite.
In the case of America, we can see how much injustice and inequality we’ve had to go through, and are still going through, to reach what we declared our aim of equality. Only by knowing its opposite are we fully able to appreciate and value equality when it does come. When we know the shadow side, when we know the opposite, we have the means and measures to nourish equality and sustain it so that we don’t lose it and can pass it along to future generations.
This works not just on a national scale, but for us as individual souls, too. For example, if we set the declaration in our life to attract love, and we find that we’re in relationships where we don’t feel loved or aren’t appreciated, and may find that we’re being faced with hatred, have faith and know that this is part of our process so that when love does come we don’t miss it, and we’re able to experience it more vibrantly and richer than we ever imagined. Only by knowing its opposite are we able to allow love to sustain, for ourselves and the other people that we love in our life. So, if you’re in a dark space and you don’t feel like your loving intentions are being met, I encourage you to have faith and know that it’s part of the natural process.
